Pregel preparation:
| Pregel preparation procedure | Preparation Process |
|---|---|
| A. Add 87% of solvent or mixed solvent | Mix |
| B. Add 10% of BT series organobentonite, disperse 10 minutes at high speed (3000rpm) | Disperse 10 minutes at high speed (3000rpm) to become fluent material |
| C. Add 3% of polar activator | Disperse 10-15 minutes at high speed (3000rpm) to become highly sticky gel |
2. Add BT pregel
A. For non-wettable resin (epoxy, polyester, polyacrylate, etc.), use in combination with surfactant, addtion sequence is as follows:
1. Lacquer or solvent, mix
2. BT organic pregel (mix)
3. Surfactant
4. Pigment (disperse)
5. Dilute
B. For non-wettable resin and non-thixotropic pigment, addtion sequence is as follows:
1. Lacquer and solvent
2. Surfactant (if adopted) mix
3. Pigment
4. Disperse to needed fineness (disperse while grinding)
5. BT organic gel
6. Completedly disperse to desired fineness
7. Dilute
